This holiday season, we're asking our listeners to team up with us as we reach out to hungry families in our listening area.
Did you know that 1 of every 10 homes in your community houses a hungry family?
Children and adults alike will need food this Christmas more than ever. As you well know..the economy has hurt Mississippi.
When we think about hunger, we usually think in terms of mass starvation in far-away countries, but hunger too often lurks in our own backyards.
SUNNY 93.3 & Brooks Oil Company|Chevron & Texaco T-Marts invite you to lend a hand as we embark on a simple mission this Christmas - STACK EVERY EMPTY PANTRY IN OUR COMMUNITY!!
We will have several drop off locations for you, the listener, to take your canned-goods. The food will be distributed to food banks across our listening area...including the Salvation Army!!
Our frail economy has surely shaken the spirits of many children, adults, & shut-in senior citizens in our area.
They won't have a Christmas Tree this year..they won't offer or receive a gift either..and while that's sad - it's acceptable.
Nonetheless...hungry families in our own hometown is beyond unacceptable.
Together, let's touch lives..let's SAVE lives this Christmas
